BC Spot Prawn Season is Here!

The BC Spot Prawn fishery is a great sustainable Ocean Wise option right here in our local waters off the West coast of BC. This is a well managed fishery where fishers use traps or pots which result in minimal bycatch or habitat damage.

On Thursday May 3rd the fishing season finally opens and will continue on for the next 6-8 weeks. During this very short season you should make the most of enjoying them fresh either at one of our partner restaurants or pick them up at your local Ocean Wise market.
