Island Sea Farms

Saltspring Island, British Columbia is one of the many jewel-like islands that sparkle in the Strait of Georgia. It was here, in 1996, that we founded Island Sea Farms Inc. and began growing Saltspring Island Mussels. Although these clean rich island waters have produced world class shellfish for almost a century, British Columbia has never had a mussel farming industry. Through our pioneering hatchery and sustainable farming techniques, we are proud to be the first successful mussel farm in BC. We believe you will find our Saltspring Island Mussels plump, consistently sweet and delicately flavoured. It is our goal to grow the world's best mussel while caring passionately about the environment, our employees and island communities where we farm.

W!LD Ocean Fish

W!LD was established in 2011 by a fisheries biologist who was concerned about the current state of our oceans, global overfishing issues, seafloor habitat destruction and degradation, overcapacity, and by-catch concerns. Not only are W!LD products proudly Ocean Wise certified, but they also come from the most sustainable fisheries in the world. From Haida Gwaii to Juan de Fuca BC, our wild seafood is procured directly from fishermen participating in highly selective, sustainable fisheries, while using the most eco-friendly fishing methods such as hook & line and trap.

We establish relationships with local, small-scale producers who consistently provide the highest quality seafood products available today. Through W!LD’s very own Fair Trade Fishing policy, fishermen are compensated fairly for their product, which ultimately benefits our society, our environment, and our economy. At W!LD, we strive to increase the quality and landed value of selectively harvested BC wild seafood, while promoting social responsibility and sustainable fisheries.
